Sean Costelloe had his first salmon of the season taken on Fermoyle
Lough. Noel Conlon fished River Beat 1 and caught a 6lbs 8oz salmon
and 7 sea trout. Tom Gallagher landed 7 sea trout on Fermoyle. Eamonn
Connolly and Myles Costelloe fished Glenicmurrin and caught 8 sea
trout.
Pat Farrelly braved the bright weather and was rewarded with a 5
lbs on River Beat 1. Tom Gallagher, Tom Mularkey and Fr Colm Morris
landed 12 sea trout on Glenicmurrin. Edward and James Persse caught
14 sea trout also on Glenicmurrin.
Chris and Donna Warne took 33 sea trout over 3 days on Glenicmurrin.
Geoffrey Fitzjohn and Rosemary Fitzjohn landed a 6lbs grilse and
5 sea trout during their evening on Dereen Lough. Glenicmurrin was
again the venue where Peter Westwater caught his 14 sea trout.
Derek Mulligan was delighted when he caught his first ever salmon,
a fish of 8 lbs, taken from River Beat 1. The Galway County Club
held a one day competition on Glenicmurrin and Fermoyle Loughs and
had a combined total of 29 sea trout. Steve O
Riordan fished River Beat 1 and landed 12 sea trout. Rene had to
contend with bright conditions and an easterly wind but still managed
a very respectable 34 sea trout taken from River Beats 1 and 3.
He returned later in the month with friends and caught 43 sea trout,
this time on River Beats 2 and 3.
Eamonn Connolly had a very successful afternoon on River Beat 1
and caught 2 salmon 7 and 8lbs.Finally Sean Costello returned to
Fermoyle Lough and landed a further salmon, a fish of 7lbs 8 oz.
